Our aim is to promote the craft of beekeeping and encourage sound practices in the management of Bees. To advance the education of schools and the public in the importance of bees in the environment and provide services like swarm collection to the public.
To share knowledge of beekeeping by holding training courses, regular meetings and through practical demonstrations to teach a variety of aspects of the beekeeping craft, to interest the complete beginner and experienced beekeeper alike.
To promote the health and well-being of bees and the production and handling of hive products within a health and safety framework and to promote the exhibition of these products.
Whilst we are not a Charity we do act within a charitable framework ensuring that our membership is open to all who share this common interest.
Summer Saturday monthly meetings [weather permitting] are organised to be outside based around our training apiary, in the winter months our meetings move inside and to a Monday evening. See our programme for events and times.
